SoCal '10: Presentation Instructions

Talks

Talk slots are 25 minutes, including time for questions. We recommend leaving 3–4 minutes for questions.

Poster Presentations

Individuals with posters will have two chances to present their work: the afternoon poster session and a 2.5 minute spotlight talk.

Poster Format SoCal will provide easels and foam backing to hold posters. Posters should be no larger than 27 inches by 37 inches inches. Either portrait or landscape orientation is fine. Tape and/or pushpins will be available for mounting.

Poster Format Spotlight talks will be will run on a strict schedule. To minimize time lost to speaker changes, all slides will projected from a provided laptop. Please prepare two slides in PDF format. Email your slides to Jeff Vaughan (jeff|@|cs|.|ucla|.|edu) or bring them to SoCal on a USB key.

Spotlights will run for 2.5 minutes, and time limits will be strictly enforced.
